2032 - 2048 Boyle Hut
Easy day today as we are a little ahead of schedule. Left Anne Hut (dubbed NZ's most exposed hut) around 8:00am and walked over Anne Pass to Boyle Hut (Which I am dubbing NZ's most sandflies ridden hut).
Nothing really new to report. It started raining at one point and that was about it. We have just spent an hour or so scrounging the bush for wood so it's a warm hut anyway.
Tomorrow we will complete this section and maybe hitch out to Hanmer Springs for beer, meat, and vegetables. Also we need to buy snacks. Three meals a day just isn't cutting it.
Hindsight
Really. This was the only hut I had problems with sandflies in the toilet.
There are two tracks, Te Araroa, and the Horse trail. According to the guy from Anne Hut, the horse trail is quicker.
