667 - 684 Repeater Road Camp
Completely missed Ken. I think he added an extra e to his name and shot off ahead.
This has probably contributed to my slackness. A pitiful 17kms. It was a nice lazy walk anyway even though I took a wrong turn and added a kilometre or two to it. The Hunuas look to be in good shape.
Repeater Camp is nice and quiet and looks like the shed is only a couple of years old (graffiti dating).
Bit more effort tomorrow....perhaps.
Hindsight
- Communication is important, and so is using the same map when making plans. Ken wasn't at Clevedon when I got there and I spent a couple of hours looking for him. It appears he was using the kilometres off the Guthook app and I was using the T.A. Maps.
- If you can't find them, and you aren't worried about it, keep going.
- I had four days off. It was hard to start up again even after such a short rest. You recover your pace quickly though.
- Repeater Road Camp has a great piece of graffiti. Something like,"I don't know where we are but we're making great time." This could be applied to all sorts of T.A. situations.
