913 Zero Day
Zero day at the wonderful Casara Mesa Backpackers. Cleaning, washing, drying, and eating, eating, eating.
There are some other Te Araroa people here. Also some people from Greenpeace who we are avoiding....Or are they avoiding us. Hard to tell.
Resupplied at the supermarket so I will be leaving with an extremely heavy pack tomorrow as it is about 6 days before the next resupply point.
Nobody seems to have noticed that the shearing statue here could, without prior information, be interpreted as a man cutting a sheep's throat.
Hindsight
- The old railway station house was quite interesting.
- Crocks make good camp shoes. Cheap, light, and waterproof (Another piece of advice from Ken).
