Auberge De La Dame Jouanne near Larchant
The Auberge De La Dame Jouanne is a lovely restaurant in the middle of the forest near L'Elephant. It is a great place for lunch and a walk but you need to remember to book first as it is nearly always busy and the opening hours aren't very long. I think they might change throughout the year though so check with them. At the time of writing they were,
Wednesday | 12:00–1:45PM
Thursday | 12:00–1:45PM
Friday | 12:00–1:45PM | 7:00–9:45PM |
Saturday | 12:00–9:45PM
Sunday | 12:00–8PM |
They have child booster seats, a kids menu, super child friendly staff and it looks like in summer you can eat outside as well. Even the cat is child friendly (well, he liked mine). The menu is nice if you are not a vegetarian and not too expensive. It does change fairly often but there is a photo of the standard menu in the gallery below.
If you come too early, too late, are vegetarian (I shouldn't make it sound that bad, I didn't ask, call them) or have finished your meal and feel like it there is also a great walk up the Rochers de La Dame Jouanne that a two year old can do as long as you keep an eye on them around the top where there is a cliff. We liked it.
