While trying to learn French I came up with an idea for the listening post. There are a couple of different versions of it though.
The first is a place in a café, bar or park where there is a table or post where the conversation is recorded and then sent off to help student of other countries learn your language. In a café there could even be some sort of encouragement such as cheaper coffee. This would be an invaluable resource for people learning a language.
The second version of it is to have a website where people wanting to learn different languages are placed together so they can talk to each other. If I am learning French and you are learning English then us being able to talk to each other is wonderful way for us both to test out our language skills. There could even be hints to keep the conversation running or tests to pass marked by the other person.
