Pirate ship in Barbizon
At 53 Rue du Puits du Cormier in Barbizon, the pirate ship stands as an enigmatic fixture, captivating locals and visitors alike. Its weathered wood and tattered sails whisper tales of high seas adventure and buried treasures. Amidst the quaint streets of Barbizon, this unexpected sight sparks curiosity and imagination. Some say it’s a relic from a forgotten carnival, while others insist it once sailed the seven seas under the command of notorious buccaneers. Regardless of its origins, the pirate ship remains a beloved landmark, evoking dreams of swashbuckling escapades in the
hearts of all who encounter it...
Actually it is just a playground fixture but it is a good sized Pirate Ship, possibly twenty meters from bow to stern. Great for children especially between the ages of four and ten. There is good parking on the other side of the road and although the playground is a little concealed it lies about mid distance between the cemetery and the tennis club building through a gate in the fence beside the recycling area.
We returned to the Pirate Ship last week and if a little older it is still great fun. Especially with some pirate music for atmosphere. The boys also spent time doing track and field and kicking the ball around on the asphalt.
